This Privacy Policy applies to the BorderReady mobile application available on the Apple App Store. It describes how information is handled when you use the application. BorderReady is designed as a local-first travel document organizer — your data remains under your control at all times.

2 What BorderReady Does

BorderReady helps travelers organize and access travel documents based on real travel checkpoints. You can import and manage:

• Passports, visas, and government-issued IDs
• Boarding passes and airline confirmations
• Hotel bookings and accommodation proofs
• Insurance documents and emergency files
• Car rental confirmations and return tickets

The application uses Checkpoint Mode to help you understand what to show at each stage of your journey, what to keep ready, and what may still be missing.

3 Data Storage

All travel documents, trip details, and application preferences are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms. Nothing is uploaded to external servers during normal use of the application.

4 Data Collection

BorderReady does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on remote servers. Specifically:

• No user accounts or sign-ups are required
• No analytics or tracking tools are embedded
• No advertising SDKs are included
• No data is shared with third parties
• No cookies or web-based tracking is used

5 Offline Functionality

BorderReady is designed to work fully offline. Travel documents you import are stored on your device and remain accessible without an internet connection. The application does not require network access for its core functionality.

6 Platform Services

BorderReady may interact with standard iOS system services such as the Files app, Photos library, and share sheet for the purpose of importing documents. These interactions are handled by Apple's operating system and are governed by Apple's own privacy policies. BorderReady does not access these services in the background.

7 Children's Privacy

BorderReady is rated 4+ on the App Store. The application does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Since no data collection occurs, no special provisions for children's data are necessary.

8 International Users

Because all data remains on your device, there are no cross-border data transfers performed by the application. Regardless of where you use BorderReady, your travel documents and trip information stay locally on your device.

9 Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the application or applicable regulations. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Continued use of BorderReady after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
